NC3 is stepping out and supporting one of our own members by hosting a fundraiser for Hayden Smith. Hayden is a 21 month old, sweet hearted little boy who will have to undergo two major surgeries in Jan. One will be to remove part of his colon, which has failed to work properly since birth. The other part of the surgery will consist of capping his teeth, which are now crumbling away, due to a calcium defficiency, which has resulted from his inadequate colon. They will also deposit something under his gums to protect and harden his teeth which have not yet come through yet. Hayden's mother, Dee, is a member of NC3, and although they have insurance to cover the colon removal, which is considered medical, they do not have detal insurance to cover his teeth. The surgery will cost around $1700, and we are going to help try to raise a lot of that for the family.
So to help Hayden, please join us on January 23rd, from 9am to 9pm. The crop fee is $25 and all proceeds will go directly to cover the surgery. We will have doorprizes, games, and vendors. If you have something you would like to donate to be raffled off, please let us know. We will be collecting hand made items, and items from local businesses to raffle and raise more money.
